Probate FAQs

What is Probate?

Probate is the legal process that enables the executors of a will to deal with the deceased person’s estate. The Grant of Probate, which is a document issued by the court, provides executors with the legal authority to deal with the estate’s assets. Executors can also be known as ‘personal representatives’.
